Tony is a Physician at Axis and Medical Director for Hockey New Zealand and the NZ Women's Blacksticks, a position he has held for 30 years. He has been a FIFA Medical Officer at 4 World Cups from 2006 – 2016 and a FIFA Medical Committee member until 2018. Tony was also Team Doctor for the NZ Warriors from 1996 – 2000.

Tony is a Sport and Exercise Physician and the founding partner of Axis Sports Medicine. He has worked in Sports Medicine for more than thirty years and was one of the first three doctors to complete specialty training and become a consultant Sports Physician in New Zealand.

Tony was a long serving member of the FIFA Medical Committee until 2018 and continues to work as the Medical Director for Hockey NZ and the NZ Women's Blacksticks team, a position he has held for 30 years. He has previously been the Medical Director of High Performance Sport New Zealand.

Tony has a passion for cooking and fine wine and is the Howick-Pakuranga Hockey club's number one supporter.
