Chris is a Physician at Axis and has been involved with a number of elite sporting teams across a variety of codes, including the New Zealand Women's Football, Auckland NPC Rugby, The Warriors, and The Kiwi Rugby League Team. Chris has also attended both The Olympic and Commonwealth Games. His clinical interests are rupture of the pectoralis major, hip and groin pain, and knee injuries.

Chris is a Sport and Exercise Physician at Axis and has been involved with a number of elite sporting teams across a variety of codes. Previously, he has looked after the New Zealand Women's Football team, the Football Ferns, on their road to Rio Olympics, 2016. Chris has attended both Olympic and Commonwealth Games, and been the medical director for NZ Shooting, NZ Bowls, and NZ Bike (now Cycling NZ). He has also looked after the Marist Brothers, Auckland Development and Auckland NPC rugby teams, Warriors Development and Warriors NRL, and the Kiwi Rugby League teams. 

Chris began studying sports medicine in 1993, joined the UniSports team in 1997, and has been a partner of Axis Sports Medicine Specialists since 2001. He has completed a postgraduate certificate in sports medicine, two diplomas in sports medicine, a Masters in Medical Science focusing on groin pain, and the specialist training programme for the Australasian College of Sports Physicians. 

Chris has been a member of the Australasian College of Sport and Exercise Physicians (ACSEP) Interview Panel and involved in preparing the Part 2 examinations. He has been the New Zealand Zone Training Coordinator for the College since 2001. 

Chris' clinical interests are rupture of the pectoralis major, hip and groin pain, and knee injuries. Outside of the clinic, Chris has a passion for woodworking and has recently developed a bit of an interest in axe and knife making.
