Dr Tony Page is an experienced Sport and Exercise Physician at Axis and was the All Blacks doctor for two World Cups, from 2013 to 2020. He started out as a GP and then retrained in Sport and Exercise Medicine, being awarded the class medal in 2006. He enjoys assisting active people of all ages and abilities to continue healthy exercise habits.

Tony trained in Cape Town South Africa and moved to Aotearoa NZ in 1988. He spent 14 years as a GP, before branching out to Sport and Exercise Medicine. There were stints in Melbourne at Olympic Park Sports Medicine Centre over 3 years as well as being team doctor for Richmond Tigers and Collingwood Magpies before returning home. He was team doctor for Canterbury Rugby and Crusaders before looking after the All Blacks from 2013 to 2020. Since then he has been doing match Day Doctor duties and is a World Rugby International Concussion Consultant.


Tony was an early adopter of point of care ultrasound and runs an injection clinic on Fridays.


He loves the active Canterbury lifestyle and most days can be found running dogs along the beach or in the hills, wingfoiling, surfing, snowboarding or mountain biking. His 12 Kepler races, numerous marathons and Coast to Coasts help to give him an athletes perspective. Life is busy with grandchildren nearby adding to a balanced life.
